Day of celebration

A celebratory mood was in air on Friday afternoon as nearly five hundred College of Arts and Social Science students and candidates graduated. 

In total 485 graduands had awards conferred at Llewellyn Hall, including 196 postgraduate students.

More than 1,200 awards were conferred at The Australian National University’s five graduation ceremonies held over the week.

ANU linguist Dr Rachel Hendery spoke at the College’s 2pm celebration.

In addition to those attending the ceremonies 787 students were awarded conferred in absentia.

The College also held a celebratory lunch to mark the occasion, hosted by the College Dean Professor Toni Makkai.
